OUR PHILOSOPHY

Inspired by the power of nature’s interconnected systems, the Continuum Foundation believes that today’s current environmental and social challenges must be addressed by addressing interconnectedness itself. By helping individuals recognize and tend to the vital connections within their own mind and body, we can empower them to relate to and connect with other people and the planet in ways that are fair, mutualistic, regenerative and collaborative.

We want to bring awareness to the beauty and power of these connections. The more we get to know, appreciate and love ourselves — and the connections we rely upon — the more we’ll seek to nurture the interconnectedness all around us. We believe that cultivating and affirming this expansive awareness of connection is the key to healing the conflicts we’re experiencing within ourselves, our communities and the natural environment.

OUR VISION

The Continuum Foundation exists to shift the prevailing paradigm of separation and individualism to one of connection and wholeness. A continuum is defined as “a continuous succession or whole of which no part can be distinguished from neighboring parts except by arbitrary division.” This indistinguishable wholeness is the model that drives everything we do. Our offerings seek to illustrate the ways we and the planet depend on each other, belong to each other, and need each other to thrive. Through events and experiences that are inclusive, accessible and fun, we slowly but certainly dismantle long-held limiting beliefs around value, success, power, luxury and health. As we work to repair damage that’s been done, and move forward in sustainable and resilient ways, we’ll get to feel the joy, peace, abundance, contentment and satisfaction that come from recognizing the continuum we share. We do this locally, regionally and globally through gatherings and retreats, and in the future at Camp Continuum, a retreat space to be built and operated with this ethos at its heart.

THE FOUNDERS

Colleen Quinn and Jonathan Norling have been working together toward their vision of sustainable and regenerative living since 2018. The essence of this work however, has been alive in each of them for many years. Colleen, a lifelong entrepreneur and lover of nature, has spent the last 25 years as a licensed physical therapist and holistic personal trainer. She’s taught clients how to reintegrate and heal their physical bodies while guiding them to discover a deeper sense of themselves along the way. Jon has worked as an environmental and energy attorney since 1997 and as a LEED certified expert in sustainable building design since 2006 . His passion for and expertise in legal and environmental law has successfully guided several large-scale sustainable development projects, and he relentlessly pursues the latest innovations in the clean technology sector. Together, and with substantial support from their team of advisors, Colleen and Jon are dedicating their lives to bring joy, fulfillment and wellbeing to each of us and the world we share.

THE IMPACT

Continuum is a grass roots organization, and grass roots are powerful. Working together, individual roots bind, create pathways in and strengthen the soil to prevent erosion and create habitat for myriad creatures. We intentionally emulate this effective and scalable natural system as we connect inspired individuals and use this site to measure and track their impact. We’re committed to this model as an opportunity to demonstrate the dynamic power of connection and of people putting purpose before profit.
